Breadcrumbs EN

The types of fraud are limitless. They are engaged in people who are looking for prey without much cost and effort. The first commandment is not to be deceived by someone who offers a seemingly very suitable deal.

Also follow the following rules:

- beware of unfamiliar "friendly", chatty people who offer you big and profitable deals from the doorstep or sell goods at a low price (it may be stolen or low-quality);

- when entering into contracts with firms, joint ventures, require the provision of guarantees by the founders of these firms, if you suspect the actions of front persons or the use of fake letterheads and seals, check their authenticity at a Bank branch or in the company's founding organization;

- do not play games of chance (lotteries, cards, thimbles, etc.), do not try to "beat" experts on cheating simpletons: giving the opportunity to win a little and arousing your excitement, they will take everything from you;

- avoid offering goods to strangers (cars, video equipment, etc.), so that you don't get a "doll" (a bundle of colored paper) instead of money, or you don't get the money immediately after the transaction;

- when making transactions with strangers, never give them money or things in their hands, even for a short time;

- be especially careful in places where there are passageways, construction sites, emergency exits, etc., do not allow strangers to enter with your belongings in such places, so as not to give them the opportunity to hide unnoticed;

- when advertising in a newspaper about the sale or purchase of valuable items, specify the pager or address on demand (subscriber box in the communication Department), so as not to become a victim of robbery;

- when negotiating the sale of valuables, installing an alarm system on the car, etc., never give strangers your address or phone number;

- when buying valuables with your hands, do not go alone, check the Packed goods before paying for them;

- never buy or sell currency with your hands. Always use the services of a Bank or exchange office;

- if you decide to buy something, keep it in your hands or give it to your companion, so that at the time of payment you could not replace it or take it out of your hands.

Remember that the most common fraudulent attacks on personal property of citizens are:

- taking possession of someone else's property by handing the buyer an item that looks like it was intended, in the buyer's opinion, for sale (sale of a duffel " doll");

- taking possession of someone else's property by selling products made of non-ferrous metals or polished glass instead of products made of precious metals or precious stones ("formazon");

- taking possession of someone else's property by calculating the victim when exchanging large bills of money or when buying any thing ("breaking");

- the misappropriation of another's property by throwing "values" and the subsequent participation in their "division";

- taking possession of other people's property under the pretext of providing various services in the acquisition of any property;

- taking possession of someone else's property by impersonating another person, for example, a police officer ("self-imposed search" and " dispersal");

- taking possession of other people's property by playing cards dishonestly ("cheating"), by fortune-telling, or by medicine.

Finally, the methods of scammers are constantly improving, so the main thing is to be vigilant and do not give in to provocations.
